Local white supremacists were happy to hear about this. "We always have people trying to impersonate us, and it's so frustrating when you find out about someone who prints out their own stuff and just leaves it around."
The non-authentic white supremacist literature had all the same content, but it seemed to be a "little suspicious" according to some sources. "This could be the same people or this could be planted... but yeah... I guess it's the same as the other white supremacist stuff either way," said Emily, a student at the University of Iowa.
The websites on the authentic literature and non-authentic literature were the same, but the editorial board of The Underpaid doubled down on their position. "We needed to make sure sources were credible. We have a responsibility to our audience to get 100% authentic white supremacy."
The Objectivity School of Journalism decided to comment as well. "It's always important to check your sources, but maybe they should elaborate on how both types of material affect the student body."
